I'm a Canadian-Egyptian writer, director, producer and assistant director based in Toronto. My filmmaking life began the moment I learned how to use Windows Movie Maker in  2007. I began directing live-action films at age 17, and I've been working in film and TV ever since.

To date, I've directed 18 short films, including the upcoming documentary BURD about the oldest living person in Canada. My no-budget sci-fi film My Girl, Skelly (2021) has been screened at 12 film festivals around the world and earned 4 awards, including the Audience Award and Jury Award at The Great Canadian Sci-Fi Film Festival 2021, and the award for Best Student Film at Toronto Film Magazine Fest 2021.

In January 2026, I directed the film Hotel Paraíso on the remote island of São Miguel in the Azores under the mentorship of Werner Herzog and his cinematographer Peter Zeitlinger.

I've also worked as an assistant director and other roles on a variety of productions including feature films, shorts, television, music videos and commercials at the indie and studio level.
